Breakout by Chap Clark | For decades, youth ministry has primarily focused on programs and events: we are hired or recruited to do youth ministry. As necessary and sometimes as effective as our strategies and programs are, it is easy to wonder what the ultimate goal of our work is. Where are we taking students as we love, listen, care, disciple and empower for ministry and leadership? This seminar will help you understand the biblical call to youth ministry by grounding our work in the family life of the church. We will not focus on theory, but the practice and structure of leading students, from middle school through emerging adults, into a life of faithful discipleship and community. For volunteers and ministry leaders, this session will give you a practical and context-friendly tool to implement “Adoptive Youth Ministry” the day you get home.
