Breakout from Shane Sanchez | At some point, most of us will lead a youth ministry through transition. It’s not easy. Over the past four years, the church I’m at has lost a pastor to moral failure, navigated a year without a lead pastor, endured multiple staffing changes and shifted vision under new leadership. During transition, teenagers need to be cared for, parents need to be partnered with and the youth ministry still needs to reach teenagers in the community with the gospel. I’ll share practical lessons I’ve learned through transition. There have been right moves and big mistakes. Learn to lead through transition while strengthening your ministry’s health and keeping your own soul intact.
